Workshops

I hold one day workshops regularly throughout the Midlands, all year round.  They normally run from 10am – 4pm with a lunch break and at the end of the session, I will guarantee that you all will leave with a painting to be proud of.

I have been running these workshops for three years and am proud to say that I have not yet had a disappointed student!

All materials that you will need to accomplish this masterpiece are provided for you to use on the day, including paint, canvas, brushes, palette knives, palette and table easel.  All of this is included in the price.  There is also an opportunity to purchase frames on the day.

I currently hold two types of ‘Joy of Painting’ workshops, landscape and floral.  Landscape workshops can include mountain scenes, waterfalls, seascapes, snow scenes, with, of course, the customary “bravery test”!!  Are you brave enough to add that big tree??

Floral workshops can include fantasy flowers, poppies, roses, baskets of flowers, pansies, in fact most of the beautiful flowers that you can think of.  You will never look at a flower in the same mundane way again.

Workshops are for any age, the youngest student I have taught is 12 and the eldest is 79!  This truly spans all ages and abilities but most importantly, its FUN.  It genuinely isn’t called ‘The Joy of Painting’ for nothing.

I keep a record of all my students and the pictures that they paint.  Each time you attend a workshop you will paint a different type of picture, therefore, there will be something new and different to learn.  I am happy that many of my students enjoy returning time after time and for those who re-attend and bring along a friend, I offer a discount of £5.

Regular venues include:-  Sutton Coldfield, Solihull, Knowle, Ryton on Dunsmore, Leicester, Walsall, Hinckley, Wolverhampton, Coventry, Tamworth…… the list goes on and on!  If I have sufficient interest from any area, I will do my utmost to book a venue close by.  I am happy to travel.
